ARMORFIX 113
HIGH YIELD TILE ADHESIVE
Product Description
ARMORFIX 113 a polymer-modified, high performing, high yield and waterproof cement-based tile adhesive for thin or thick bed fixing of ceramic tiles in interior or exterior situations, especially those exposed to permanently wet conditions.
It is suitable for the fixing of ceramic tiles on floor and wall of concrete, concrete block and cement render. It can also be used for the fixing of glass mosaic, stone marble, Pre-cast concrete facings, terrazzo and brick slips. For fixing tiles on gypsum plaster, plaster board, chipboard and wood, Armorfix 113 should be mixed with Armorlatex. It is suitable for use in Swimming pools as well.
- High adhesive tensile/ bond strength
- Fast curing time, grouting can be carried out the same day within 3-4 hours
- Easy to mix and apply
- Non sag properties with high initial adhesiveness
- Greater workability due to high port life
- Impressive waterproof properties
- Ready for use – just add
- Thin or thick
- Extended open / wet
For the installation of floor and wall ceramic tiles, glass mosaic, stone marble, terrazzo, and brick slips, plaster boards, gypsum plaster, plasterboard and wood.
Surface Preparations:
The substrate must be fully cured and well prepared, it must be sound, clean, structurally stable, free from dirt, loose particles, efflorescence, chemicals and other contaminants, in order to ensure proper bonding.
Freshly installed cement screeds must not have residual moisture content above 5 %. Concrete, screeds, renders, and block work should be cured sufficiently to allow for most of the shrinkage movements. Tiles must be dry, and their surfaces free of contaminants that could impair adhesion. Do not soak tiles in water before lying.
Mixing
Pour A R M O R F I X -113 into a clean plastic or metal bucket containing clean water, pour adequate quantity of ARMORFIX-113, that can be used within the pot life of 4 hours. 20kg of ARMORFIX -113 requires approximately 6 litres of water. Stir with a mechanical stirrer until a plastic, lumps free consistency is achieved. Let the mixture rest for 10-15 minutes and restart briefly before application. No more water should be added after mixing.
Application
Spread ARMORFIX -113 tile adhesive mortar evenly over 1m2 area at a time using a notched trowel. Fix tiles immediately within the open time of 20 minutes. Please be sure that all areas are covered with ARMORFIX -113 tile adhesive.
Position tiles in the adhesive bed and align with a slightly pushing motion, ensuring the tile back achieves full contact with the adhesive.
For thin solid bed application (3mm thickness) 2- 3kg of ARMORFIX -113 will cover approximately 1m2.
20kg bags. Store in a cold dry place. With proper storage material can be stored and used within 12 months.
Remove the excess mortar on tools with copious amount of water; if already dry you can remove through mechanical means. Also prolonged contact with skin may occur as it is the case with all cementitious based material, therefore safety gloves and glasses should be used when working.
