SOLVENT-FREE EPOXY FLOOR PRIMER FOR CONCRETE
Product Description
ARMORFLO-500HD is Two-component epoxy based primer with high solid content for epoxy flooring. It is employed as first coat and intermediate coat.
- High chemical and physical resistance
- Excellent compressive strength
- Excellent flexural and tensile strength
- Seamless dust free and easy to clean.
- Dense corrosion resistant surface
ARMORFLO-500HD can be applied as a primer and basecoat coat over metal and concrete surfaces in:
- factories
- warehouses
- Shopping centers
- workshops
- aircraft hangars
- Schools and hospitals
- Pharmaceutical and food industries
- laboratories
- car parks
- waste water treatment plants
- areas where heavy forklifts and corrosive chemicals are of concern
Surface preparation:
New concrete and plaster must be allowed to cure for at least 28 days Weak, cracked, broken sections in the concrete floor must be repaired using Filling Compound and Grout Repair Compounds; loose and unstable floors must be reinforced with anchorage after multilayer lamination.
Mixing process:
Mix the whole two components together. You should prepare all mixtures in a mechanical way using low speed (300-400 rpm) electric mixer. Avoid stirring more than necessary in order to minimize entrapped air inside the mixture.
Minimum +100 C / Maximum +300 C
Ambient Temperature:
Minimum +10⁰C / Maximum +300 C
Material Temperature:
It must be between +10⁰C and +300 C.
Surface Moisture Content:
Humidity rate in the concrete must be maximum 4%.
Relative Humidity:
It must be maximum 80%.
Dew Point:
Temperature of the surface to be applied must be at least 300 C above the dew point.
Pour the material on the area to be resurfaced using a smoothing trowel ,because of the selfleveling property of ARMORFLO 500HD the material can easily be finished as desired, spike roller will be used to eliminate entrapped air or bubbles and to give a uniform appearance. The level of thickness will also be determined by the application need, but should be achieved in one application; the mixed material can be applied at a thickness between 3mm and 20 mm. If the mix hardens, it should be disposed, please do not attempt to remix or add water to hardened mix.
Remove the excess mortar on tools with copious
amount of water; if already dry you can remove
through mechanical means. Also prolonged
contact with skin may occur as it is the case with all
cementitious based material, therefore safety
gloves and glasses should be used when working.
ARMORFLO 500HD should be specified for factory floors, warehouses , hospitals etc and un derlayment for floor coverings. It is particularly
suitable for areas requiring hardwearing and durable flooring.
ARMORFLO 500 HD is packed in 11.25 kg + 3.75 kg
1 year in its original intact container at temperatures between+5 and + 25°C
