HYDROPLAST 220
MID-RANGE WATER REDUCING
SUPERPLASTICISER FOR RHEOPLASTIC CONCRETE
Product Description
Hydroplast 220 is ready to use, mid-range water-reducing admixture design to produce high slump concrete with transportable workability. This product is chloride free, and available on-demand.
Hydroplast 220 considerably improves the properties of fresh and harden concrete, it has a shelf life of 12month from date of production.
- Micro-silica concrete
- Mass concrete pours
- Ready mixed concrete
- Long distance transport
- Pumped concrete
- Casting in hot climate
To obtain: - Reduced thermal peaks
- High workability for longer periods
- Low pumping pressure
- Delay setting with longer workability
- Improves durability
- Reduced permeability
All materials, measurement and production are in
accordance with ASTM C-494 type G.
Appearance: Low viscous clear liquid
Density: 1.06g/cm³ ± 0.01
Chloride content: Nil
Air-entrainment: <2%
Water-reduction: 20–30 % of mixing water Permeability: Reduces concrete porosity, improves waterproofing and durability.
Compressive strength: Increased early and ultimate compressive strengths
Cohesion: Improved cohesion reduces risk of segregation
Compatibility: Compatible with all types of Portland cement including Sulfate Resisting Cement (SRC). Compatible with other ARMORSIL admixtures when dispensed separately
Hydroplast 220 is a ready to use liquid which is
dispensed into the concrete together with the mixing
water.
Dosage is influenced by type, mix design; quality of used materials, ambient temperatures and other specific requirements, so site trials should be carried to determine the optimum dosage.
Dosage: typically 0.8% to 1.5%
HYDROPLAST-600 May be added with the initial mix water or should be added with the last third of mixing water. However optimum water reduction is achieved with delayed addition. Do not add directly to the dry mix or cement. For proper administration an automatic dispenser could be used.

An overdose of HYDROPLAST-600 may result depending o n dosage in an increase of workability and extension of setting time. Overdosed concrete must be protected against direct sun light and water evaporation to allow proper curing.
Do not use HYDROPLAST 600 with other type of admixture containing Naphthalene
Sulfonate Blends. The performance of the admixture will be adversely affected .
